"I am a state credentialed and Nationally Board certified science and math teacher. I have 12 years classroom teaching experience in Physics, AP Physics (all types) and a variety of math subjects. I have 20 years tutoring experience from elementary to college level. I love tutoring because I get to see the growth in my students- growth that I make possible. Every student has unique needs, and I am skilled in meeting every individual where they are at and moving them to the next level. As the subject matter becomes easier, my clients grown in confidence and achieve at levels they never conceived possible.

I have a B.S. in physics with a specialization in astrophysics. I conducted astrophysics research for a couple years, but always loved my teaching roles more. As such, I decided to change careers to teaching, and I have loved every moment. I went on to earn an M.A. in education and I am in the process of completing my doctorate. I was also, awarded the prestigious Knowles Teacher Fellowship, a practitioner fellowship for the top math and science teachers in the US. I also serve as a mentor and a coach for early career teachers. In my free time, I love to learn, travel the world, powerlift and pretend to make gourmet food.

I have robust and in-depth math and science content knowledge because of my experience as a scientist and over a decade as a classroom teacher. I am intimately aware of state and national science and math standards and have served as a curricular expert to reform curriculum for several schools.
