"My name is Jacqueline W. and I graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in secondary education and English from Saint Louis University in 2009. Since then I've enjoyed over 15 years of teaching and tutoring students across all ability levels and ages ranging from grammar school to college.

Over the years I’ve developed a specialization in standardized test preparation and writing. I’ve helped hundreds of students prepare for a variety of standardized tests including the HSPT, SSAT, ISEE, PSAT, SAT, and ACT, and I enjoy a 100% success rate in helping those students improve their standardized test scores. I am up to date with the current standardized test offerings and can confidently aid students in preparing for both paper and online versions of exams. Test preparation has become a passion for me because it provides me with an opportunity to give students the tools they need to succeed on the tests required for their educational futures. All tests are coachable and I truly enjoy helping students achieve their highest scores possible.

I also have a love of writing, and I can expertly help students plan and execute school papers at the highest level as well as guide students through the college essay process, from conceptualizing to the final edit. College essay writing is an especially rewarding part of my job because I love learning about my students’ lives and helping them to craft unique, compelling personal statements. Through the college essay process I help students to have confidence that they are presenting themselves to prospective universities in the best light.

When I’m not tutoring, I’m a full time mom to my daughter Olivia and am lucky enough to spend a lot of quality time with my family, including my husband Scott and dog Winston. I’m a proud Chicagoan and avid sports fan and like to relax with a good book when I can." less...
