"Hello Students,
My name is Grace, and I’ve been in the education space for over 10 years. From teaching 8th Grade special education at a public charter school, to working on litigation issues at law firms, to running an education startup, the common thread of each endeavor is my ability to work with people, parents and students alike. I prioritize each of my students' goals and learning needs, meeting them where they are. I seek to understand how my students think and find the best strategies that fit my students' learning styles. This approach has helped my students not only become stronger readers and writers, but also establish stronger critical thinking and reasoning skills. The strategies I teach can be used beyond the work we do together, into high school, college, and beyond.
With over a decade of experience in test prep, specifically SHSAT, ISEE/SSAT, SAT/ACT, I have helped students of many different skill levels achieve success, not just in acing a standardized test but also in curating the right application for high schools and colleges. In just the last three years, I have helped over 70 students earn admissions to specialized high schools, top private high schools, and colleges of their choice.
My expertise is not just in teaching and pedagogy. My approach is grounded in education policy, knowledge of the admissions and application process, and a deep understanding of social-emotional learning and executive functioning. When you bring your child to me, I work with the whole child, from content acquisition and retention to monitoring organizational thinking and time management skills.
Every student has the potential to grow and my job is to help you reach your destination. You can expect me to show up with my bespoke materials prepared and ready to help you achieve the best result possible. At the same time, I expect you to be prepared to learn, to ask questions, and to work as hard as possible.
Let me know how I can help. Send me a message today!
Best,
Grace" less...
