"Hello- I’m Ranjana! I graduated summa cum laude from my university’s honors college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. I started tutoring professionally in college 9 years ago and have a strong passion for teaching and mentorship. Growing up, I hoped to become a physician to help improve healthcare in medically underserved regions like my own. After completing my bachelor’s degree, I went straight through to medical school where I continued to tutor through various school programs while expanding access to STEM education amongst traditionally marginalized communities. As I continue to tutor, I am now pursuing residency training to become a medical oncologist.

Through my prior teaching experiences, I am a certified College Reading & Learning Association Master Tutor. I have spent ~5 years tutoring college students in SAT/ACT, various AP courses, and university-level courses (Biochemistry, Medical Ethics, Chemistry, and English language/literature). I also enjoy writing and have personally published multiple articles and co-authored a non-fiction novel on STEM education. I have proofread and provided detailed feedback to over 250 applications/personal statements for college, medical school, and residency. I am also available for USMLE tutoring and have scored >90%-ile on the USMLE STEP 1/2 licensing exams.
