"I'm Aidan! Currently I am a rising sophomore at the University of California Berkeley pursuing a major in Legal Studies for the goal of becoming a practicing attorney. As much as I value my occupational goals, another passion of mine is teaching. Throughout my time in school, helping my classmates and underclassmen out has always been a prominent aspect of my school life, especially for subjects I am heavily interested in.
My teaching style is adaptable, ready to change based on what the student seeks/needs and to make sure that learning is all about fun as much as it is personal improvement. My lesson plans are tailor made to each student's learning goals and to ensure that they continue to practice their material themselves for whatever needs necessary.
I have a total of 4 years teaching primarily English writing + reading and History to two main demographics. I have closely taught English speaking, reading, and writing skills as a foreign language along with world history (and Japanese history) to a total of 10 Japanese students aged 14-18 over the span of 4 years. I have worked with a rising 3rd grade class of about 20 children as an assistant teacher at Presidio Knolls School to develop English speaking and writing skills. Beyond my tutoring services, I also offer a wide range of advice on college admissions as well as personal help with college essay writing. Lastly, in regards to test preparation, I am able to tutor students in AP Language and Composition, AP World History, AP US History, AP Psychology, and AP Human Geography.
Ultimately, teaching is a great passion of mine and as someone who finds fulfillment in helping others succeed, I am open to a wide variety of teaching styles and therefore am open to any suggestions/resources that students or parents can provide. I am quick to respond and easy to reach. Don't be afraid to ask any questions or to schedule a lesson!" less...
