"I did my undergraduate work in physics and mathematics at M.I.T., receiving S.B. degrees in physics and in mathematics, and an S.M. in physics. I subsequently received a PhD in physics from the University of Chicago.

I am currently a Managing Director of a major financial services firm, where I perform statistical and quantitative analysis to manage risk. I have previously, for many years, taught graduate-level classes in statistics and mathematical modeling at UCLA. I received Outstanding Teaching awards on four occasions.
