"To start off, I have both a BA and an MA in English. I have taken classes on how to teach English and have a strong background in American Literature and Multicultural Literature. While I am not certified in the state of California, I was certified in the state of New Mexico under a program that allows certification for those with advanced degrees.

I have taught 3 years of high school English: two years at Alamo Navajo High School and 1 year at Santa Fe Indian School, both in New Mexico. I have also taught English at three different colleges, two in Florida and at CSU Chico. I also spent 8 years teaching online college classes. I t aught Freshman English, English for Underrepresented Populations and non- native English speakers, and American and Native American Literature. I have 10+ years experience.

I tutored 2 1/2 years experience tutoring at the college level, both group and individual. My students were both native and non- native English speakers. I am currently tutoring at a Charter School here in Chico." less...
