"I have five years of experience coaching elementary and middle school kids in chess. However, I work with players of all ages and levels from beginner up through 2200. A few of my students have had large rating gains in short timespans.

I specialize in opening line development and preparation, endgames, and positional strategies. By looking over your games, I can quickly identify weaknesses and provide concepts that improve your game. I also have extensive knowledge of a vast array of opening variations and their associated strategies. I can help beginning students choose opening systems that fit their playing style.

I am also available as a math tutor for elementary and high school students. I have a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Northwestern University, where I also fulfilled the course requirements for the degree in Mathematics.
