"I hold bachelor, master, and doctoral degrees in Communication with an emphasis in health communication, public relations, and business administration. I enjoy working with students because I also have a master degree in Child, Youth, and Family Studies with an emphasis on working with adolescents. I have been teaching college courses, since 2000, and truly enjoy helping students succeed. As a foster and adoptive parent, I understand the differing abilities and challenges for all students. I have been to all 50 U.S. states, but reside near Denver, CO because I enjoy participating in outdoor activities and cultural events.

I have more than 20 years teaching college and university courses in everything related to communication. I have taught honors classes and college success classes. I excel at public speaking and writing, but also have positive tips and tricks for reading. Frequently I receive top marks as an instructor/faculty member and tutor.
