"Hello! My name is Carla, and I am a new tutor on Wyzant looking for students! I graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience and 2 minors in Biology and Psychology.

I began tutoring in high school as an Algebra tutor, where I discovered my passion for teaching by helping peers understand difficult concepts. I continued tutoring in college, assisting students with chemistry and biology in one-on-one settings. This experience strengthened my ability to break down complex material and tailor my approach to individual learning styles. During my senior year of college, I became a teaching assistant for a genetics course, gaining valuable experience crafting lesson plans and leading entire classrooms. This role allowed me to refine my teaching methods and adapt to group dynamics.
