"Teaching is my passion. I am a retired foreign language teacher from Rochester, NY who has taught in middle school, high school, and college, as well as adults in Adult Education. I hold permanent NY teacher certification in German, Spanish, and Russian K-12. I find teaching to be very rewarding and I miss the interaction with students. I enjoy the one on one aspect of tutoring because it enables me to tailor lessons to the specific needs of the student. The smiles on students' faces when they are successful is the best part of the job. I have a Master's degree in Liberal Studies with many graduate level courses in English and Linguistics, and many hours of literacy training, so I would also be very comfortable tutoring English, especially as a second language. I am very organized and have over 20 years in the classroom designing lessons and tutoring students who needed extra help. I like to use a variety of materials in lessons and different approaches to learning the four skill areas of language.
