Biology - especially related to human health - is my passion and my area of expertise. I was a full-time university professor for 13 years, teaching general biology, human anatomy and physiology, genetics, cell biology, mammalian physiology, microbiology, pathophysiology, and biochemistry at various undergraduate levels. More recently, I was the Chief Science Officer of a medical device company focused on the microbiome. Now, I am a medical writer focused on clinical study development. I love working with students pursuing healthcare as a career, but also really enjoy working with those who aren't science majors. My PhD in Integrated Biomedical Science and 25 years of work in research in various capacities has given me the ability to understand and explain science in a way that helps students really grasp and retain the information they are learning.
