"I have a PhD in English Literature, and I taught college courses in English composition and literature for six years. I especially loved teaching freshman writing and research courses. I also taught honors and upper-level courses in American Literature.
In every class I taught, I met one-on-one with my students several times each semester to workshop their essays and research projects. In these sessions, we talked through material from class that students had trouble understanding. Together we brainstormed topics for their term papers and refined their thesis statements. We workshopped first drafts of essays, and I helped them strengthen their reasoning and writing.
I have taught every kind of student. If writing and literature don't come naturally to you or you are struggling to pass a course, I can help you understand the material, earn the grade you want, and feel confident in class.
If you're a strong student who wants to take your work to the next level, I can help you think more deeply and write more eloquently. I understand what your teacher or professor is looking for, because I have been the one writing the syllabus and giving out assignments. I can help you gain the skills you need to reach your goals.
We will start by talking about your goals, what you feel are your strengths, and where you feel you need support. Then we will make a plan together to help you excel where you once struggled,
I am patient, I love students, and I especially loving helping students succeed. I'd love to help you!" less...
