"In 2015, I graduated with an Elementary Education degree from Oklahoma State University. After graduation, I taught 4th grade Reading/Language Arts for 6 years and I absolutely loved my job! Instilling the love of reading while I taught skills to strengthen my students’ reading ability made my heart so happy. I stepped out of the classroom in 2021 due to starting a business that needed my full attention. Because I loved teaching so much, I now tutor on the side so I can continue utilizing my teaching skills to help students.

When educating students, relationship is key. My goal with a student is to find a way to connect with them while diving into the subject matter. A student will learn better from someone who they trust and feel like is on their team. Additionally, when planning lessons, I try my best to utilize content that the student is genuinely interested in. For example, if the student loves riding horses, I’m going to try and find books, articles, etc. to use as mentor texts that incorporate horses.

While reading and language arts is where my passion lies, I am still very open to tutoring in other subjects as well if we see it is a good fit. Since I have my degree in Elementary Education, I can confidently teach your elementary-aged student.
