"Hi! My name is Jill and I am a former elementary school teacher. I left teaching to be home with my family, but do miss making an impact in student lives. I worked in education for about 15 years. During that time I worked as a teaching assistant at a private school, in special education, as a 1st, 4th, and 5th grade teacher, and a high ability teacher.

I earned my bachelors degree from IUPUI. My major was elementary education with a minor in special education.

My favorite subject to teach was math. I am passionate about students not just memorizing how to solve a problem, but have an understanding of why it works. I truly believe that all students have the ability to succeed in school, some just need to learn in different ways." less...
