"Hi, my name is Will! I studied English at the College of the Holy Cross and concentrated in Creative Writing. I did this because I wanted to spend my time in college becoming a good storyteller. Before long I had a long line of friends asking me to edit and proofread their essays. I would help them improve their writing by clarifying what they were trying to say.

After graduating, I pursued my Master's in Education at Notre Dame and taught middle school literature for two years. I know how to modify instruction and create lessons that motivate students to take responsibility for their learning. I'm especially good at making assignments that students find interesting and actually want to complete. One of my goals is to help my students enjoy school more.

I have a passion for helping students improve their reading and writing. My goal is to help my students take ownership of their writing. I enjoy working with a student to edit an essay to help them better communicate their thoughts. I also have great tips and tricks for helping a student improve their reading comprehension skills.

While teaching I also gained experience working with ESL students. Having spoken Spanish for more than 16 years, I have a passion for learning and trying to speak a new language. I know how uncomfortable it can be to try speaking when you're worried about making mistakes. But mistakes are how we learn! English is challenging, but I have techniques to make it fun.

To become a better counselor, I worked in the Undergraduate Admissions at USC. I know everything you need to do to write that great college essay and submit an application that will likely get a second look.
