"I began tutoring college students in math in 2010 and high school students in 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Utah in 2015. I absolutely love math and helping others better understand the subject and became a high school math teacher for three years before leaving to pursue another career. I found myself missing the profession and decided to become a tutor.
Part of why I left high school teaching was the overemphasis of memorization and passing tests. As such, I aim to help students approach topics from an intuitive perspective to encourage deeper understanding. I want people to see that often times their difficulties with math lie in how they have been taught and that they have the ability to understand math more than they realize. I am also aware that this process can take longer amounts of time for each person and am always happy to revisit subjects as often as needed to make sure that you are confident in your mathematical abilities. I will never judge you for anything you don't know, no matter how far behind you may feel. The only thing I want is for you to succeed!
Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Trigonometry, Calculus (AP, 1, 2, 3), Common Core Math for Grades 7+, Statistics, Probability, Discrete Mathematics, Linear Algebra, Foundations of Analysis, and all 1000-level college math courses.
