"Hi, I'm Ranjini! I graduated from Rice University with a degree in Kinesiology and Biochemistry. I was a tutor in college and had always been interested in education. I joined Teach for America after graduating college and taught high school biology and chemistry (9th & 10th grade) for two years. I created lessons for both subjects, taught full classes (in person, virtual, and hybrid), and tutored individually and in small groups after school. During this time I also received my teaching credential for 7-12 grade science. I truly enjoy teaching and building relationships with students to help empower them. I have seen the progress that my students have made and the confidence that they have in the classroom when they understand the material, and that is what motivates me as an educator.

I am now finishing up my last year of medical school, with plans to start residency this summer. I have been a peer tutor since my second year of medical school and also worked with high schoolers in a mentoring program through my school. I plan to stay in some form of medical education long-term as well.
