"Hello! My name is Nancy and I am the mother of four young adult sons. We elected to go the route of homeschooling (right through high school) rather than a traditional education. My eldest two sons hold masters degrees, my third son has a Bachelor's Degree in Radio Broadcasting, and my fourth son has an Associate's Degree. Since homeschooling and tutoring have a great deal in common, I can state that I had been successfully "tutoring" for approximately 17 years before joining Wyzant. Homeschooling and tutoring have kept my skills and knowledge fresh and have taught me how to adapt material to a variety of learning styles. My level of expertise is greatest in math (elementary, algebra, geometry) and in all elementary subjects. I firmly believe in a mastery approach which requires reviewing material until it is learned (not memorized!). I am confident that we (your student and I) could achieve positive results in the areas requiring assistance.
