"I'm a former high school history teacher certified to teach history, geography, civics, economics, sociology, and psychology. I've also taught SAT prep courses and helped many high school students dramatically improve their overall score on the SAT.
I've been working in the education world for 20+ years, including extensive experience coaching teachers on working with academically gifted students, as well as students with learning disabilities like ADHD and Autism. I have a special interest in the use of technology to deliver instruction.
I love good stories. I love to hear them and I love to tell them. History has been a lifelong interest of mine, and is key for young people developing an understanding of the world.
As an undergrad, I focused on early American history, and was awarded the top prize for undergraduate research in American history in the commonwealth of Virginia. I was also awarded membership in 5 academic honor societies, and graduated with a 4.0 in History classes.
