"Hi! If you are deeply frustrated or dislike the subject that you are seeking help in, then I am the right tutor for you. My name is Andrew P. I am a former Algebra 2 Honors teacher and a practicing mechanical engineer. I began my teaching career at Mother Seton during the height of the pandemic. When I started this position between the first and second quarters of the school year, many students were below a C or failing (before I was their teacher). After a year of well-prepared classroom lessons, feedback on their assignments, and encouragement I provided, many students saw a dramatic increase in performance, some by nearly two letter grades!
As a client, you or your child can find similar improvements in academic performance. I take a mentor-like approach to tutoring, not only sharing my knowledge of the subject in a clear, concise manner, but helping my client find a new level of confidence and reach their fullest academic potential.
I am also available to tutor standardized tests, as I have achieved near-perfect scores on the ACT, a perfect score on the ACT English section, and earned recognition as a National AP Scholar with an average score of 4.87 across 8 different AP exams. As a standardized testing tutor, I will be especially helpful in eliminating the careless mistakes that cost students college acceptances and thousands of dollars in scholarship money every year.
