"I currently work as a technical writer for an engineering firm and in the past I edited STEM textbooks for a textbook publisher. Developing good written communication skills is paramount to a good education. I am highly effective at helping students become good writers. As a former social studies teacher, I love to help students in all social science disciplines, especially United States History, Political Science and Geography.

I am a self-confessed grammar hound. As a 7th grader I loved to diagram sentences and my love of grammar has yet to wan. I put this passion to good use as an editor for a textbook publisher and as a technical writer.

I have two degrees in US History and I have taught Economics, Geography, Political Science and interdisciplinary social science courses.

I have been a student in some regard, most of my life so I know how demanding and overwhelming education can be. Often an extra bit of coaching can help frame the subject in a way that brings it all into focus for the student.
