I have been interesting in coding since I was in high school and since then I have learned HTML, CSS, Java, C#, JavaScript and SQL through schooling and jobs (Software Engineer at Microsoft and AvidXchange).
While I was studying in college I taught and created lesson plans for bilingual (Spanish/English) speaking students. I also planned labs and was able to help students progress where they were challenged. I taught here for a year while I was working on my studies, 16 out of 24 students were able to pass the AP Computer Science Exam and acquire college credit. During my time working in the field, I also had the opportunity to mentor Computer Science students and help them train for coding interviews in order to land jobs within the Software Engineering and Development fields. I have learned that I am passionate about helping students learn what they need to know to succeed in this field.
