"Hi, I'm Hannah and I am a senior in college, graduating this May with a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations with a 3.97 GPA. My academic background has given me a strong foundation in research, writing, critical thinking, and global affairs, which directly informs my tutoring approach. My passion for education stems from the incredible teachers and professors I’ve had, who made learning engaging, interactive, and accessible. I strive to replicate their approach by adapting to each student’s learning style and finding creative ways to explain concepts so that students not only grasp the material but also gain confidence in their abilities.
I have been a volunteer substitute teacher in private and classroom settings since 2022, working with students of various ages and skill levels. I have taught subjects ranging from early elementary reading to high school government and history, but my specialties are English, History, and Government. My experience has taught me the importance of patience, adaptability, and encouragement in helping students succeed. Whether assisting with essay writing, breaking down historical events, or clarifying government structures, I focus on making lessons engaging and relevant to each student’s needs.
My goal as a tutor is to support students in reaching their academic potential by fostering an environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and developing their skills. I welcome any suggestions from students and parents on how I can best tailor my approach to meet their learning goals. If you have any questions or would like to discuss how I can help, please feel free to reach out—I look forward to working together!" less...
