"My name is Elyssa, and I am a fourth year at The Ohio State University, where I am studying Middle Childhood Education, with concentration areas in ELA and social studies. Other than my education core classes and multiple school placements, I have multiple years of experience working with children. I have worked as a reading tutor with Teach for America for the past two years, and I have also worked as a private tutor, helping students with their GED test as well as improving their study skills. Along with my tutoring experience, I have served at a youth church summer camp for the past three years, and this past summer I worked with the YMCA’s day camp program. I am always looking to help my students and children with whatever they need, and these skills will help me in my future classroom.

Outside of school and work, I have many different hobbies. I love watching football, especially the Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. I also enjoy hiking, playing with my dog, and spending time with friends and family. At OSU, I am an officer in two clubs and I also worked as a soccer referee.
