"Hello! My name is Sree and I am a current fourth-year medical student at Rutgers via an integrated BS/MD program. I have completed my clinical rotations and Step 1 (Pass) and Step 2 (277, 99th percentile).
As my education has progressed from high school to college to medical school, I have tutored progressively more challenging subjects from AP classes to SAT to MCAT to Step exams. I hope to apply my experience with standardized test preparation to the most consequential standardized exams. I believe in personalized teaching consisting of catering a study plan to the student’s individual needs. The advantage of 1-on-1 tutoring is the individualized focus, so I aim to maximize our time together by putting forth upfront effort in question/ topic selection so that the lessons go seamlessly. At the same time, I am an attentive listener who will address students’ concerns about test-taking strategy, study plans, and difficult concepts.
Furthermore, I have extensive experience with interview prep, essay editing, and college list creation, having assisted students as early as seven years ago when I was first accepted into the BS/MD program. With a thorough understanding of how to answer interview questions—whether in verbal or written format—I believe I can provide great value to your college/ pre-medical journey.
I primarily work with my students through online platforms (Zoom, phone calls, email, etc.) given that many of my students are not in the local NJ area. I want my students to learn smarter so that they don’t waste endless hours with inefficient methods.
Simply, the process is: identify your weaknesses, actively target those weaknesses to turn them into strengths, and simultaneously learn content and the USMLE question style. This is a recipe for success that will leave students more confident in their knowledge and increase their exam scores, ultimately opening doors.
