"Hi there!
I am a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting. I have 12 years of professional experience in accounting/finance/operations, and currently work in multiple roles: Controller for a PE-owned company in the western Milwaukee suburbs, fractional Controller and Board Member for a privately-owned company in the northern Milwaukee suburbs, real estate investor in Wisconsin, and consulting work for small businesses throughout Waukesha county.
I have served as a trainer and a leader on many projects and initiatives, and supervised and mentored people and teams. I have had success working with students here on Wyzant including traditional college students, non-traditional learners, business users, and business owners. I can speak to a wide variety of topics from both an academic perspective as well as a real-world one, ranging from 101-level debits and credits to 401-level managerial accounting and real-world applications of accounting & finance to business.
On a personal level, I have numerous hobbies including: music, disc golf, golf, learning Spanish, traveling, and food. I am a volunteer for animal- and liberty-related non-profits. I enjoy teaching people as it brings me satisfaction and joy to watch someone understand a new skill or concept. Knowledge is very powerful, and being able to share knowledge is awesome!
I will always ask a student that reaches out to me to provide detail about the requested topic to ensure I am qualified to help. I am willing to have a 15 minute free session to verify the Wyzant online tool works for a student as well as talk through the needs before setting up the first scheduled / billable session.
In regard to cancellation fees, I am very respectful of my students' time, as I ask for that same respect in return. If a student does not show up to a scheduled lesson and does not provide advance notice of a need to reschedule, however, I do charge cancellation fees up to the full cost of the scheduled time frame." less...
