"I hold a dual degree in Music and English from the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor, where I also studied computer science. I have multiple professional certifications, including a Recording Arts Certificate from the Globe Institute of Recording & Production, a California State Approved College, with advanced training in music production as well as music theory. My saxophone studies were under the tutelage of the world-renowned saxophone professor Don Sinta. I performed in and won a state-wide contest to receive a full tuition scholarship in saxophone.

For many years, I ran a web development business, consulting for notable companies like Kaiser Permanente and Warner Brothers. I first started teaching technology classes in the 1990s for the Los Angeles Internet Group along with Sky Dayton, founder of Earthlink Networks. My Internet experience and knowledge includes digital marketing and online writing as a content marketer, with expertise in generative AI tools.

I have offered classes, private coaching, and tutoring over the years in a variety of subjects, including technology, after school science classes, SAT tutoring, and music lessons. I have worked with children from grades 1 and up as well as adults.

I have college-level German credentials and won a German contest at Calvin College. I earned a certificate in Turkish from Yunus Emre Institute and am able to teach beginners and those wanting to know conversational Turkish for a trip to Istanbul.

Additionally, I have taught yoga and qigong for over 10 years. As a yoga teacher I have led gentle yoga and meditation classes at one of the largest yoga studios in the country.
