"Hello, I'm Benjamin! I'm a 28 year old professional Manufacturing Engineer with a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Going through my studies, I realized I enjoyed studying with my colleagues and working through tough problems together. We would learn how to break down tough problems step by step to simplify the overall problem. I would offer my mathematical skills to the group and it felt great to contribute with the subject I knew best. If I couldn't figure out the problem I had in front of me, I would reach out to the professors that could help me. I realized that the passion they had to help their students was something I wanted to experience for myself. I figured the best way to chase my aspirations was to help others in the form of tutoring. I want to bring the knowledge I have to problem solve to others and use techniques I learned early on in my career to those who are struggling.

I was a 4.0 student in high school while working with these subjects and I practiced them while I was in college and still practice them today in my profession. I feel confident in my abilities to help students going through these subjects today! Teaching is in my blood, as my mother was a teacher for over 15 years!

My goal is to coach easy-to- remember strategies to help students work through math problems by themselves. At the end of our sessions, I want my students to be able to continue using the methods I taught them to complete their assignments and tasks with ease. Each session we will go over questions/difficulties that arose after the last session, and then work on techniques for the new material. We will review assigned homework and practice the techniques learned from our lessons so the student can complete the work with minimal guidance.
