I am excited about the possibility of getting to know you!
My tutoring experience began when I was in high school when I volunteered a couple of hours a week to work with students after school at Hillandale and Creekside Elementary Schools. This showed me that I really enjoyed relating to and teaching young people, doing whatever I could to help them succeed.
In 2011 I graduated from Bucknell University in central Pennsylvania with an honors degree in English and Comparative Humanities. While in school, I was involved in several campus programs. In one of these I served as a tutor in a writing clinic for other students. I love reading, writing, and language!
After I graduated I moved to Jerusalem, Israel, where I have been volunteering as a full time teacher for the past two years. Although I took a couple of education classes in college, this has been a fairly new experience to teach in a classroom setting, and I love it! The classes I teach include 10th-11th grade World Literature, Literary Analysis 1 and 2, and Creative Writing. I love listening to my students and trying to help them set reachable goals for my classes and their education in general.
This summer I will be home from mid June to mid August and am looking for a regular tutoring job.
