"My experience in tutoring began in 2006, when I tutored my classmates through our Physics and Calculus 1 courses. Ever since, I have been tutoring, giving me 14 years of experience. While at Lamar University, I earned a Bachelors in Physics (2015) and a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (2015). My mathematical prowess and my engaging personality were noticed by the school, so I was donned a University Ambassador, an Engineering Ambassador, a McNair Scholar, and was allowed to take honors classes and perform research as an undergraduate.
Besides freelance tutoring, I have worked a great many places over the years. While in college, I worked at the Math Departments tutoring center for about 3 years, and concurrently at the Student Support Services multi-subject tutoring center for a total of 5 years. After college, I worked as a High School Algebra and test prep teacher. After that, I began teaching Physics courses at Lamar Institute of Technology, as well as tutoring in their learning lab. Soon, I was asked to also adjunct teach at Lamar State College-Port Arthur. That quickly became a full-time job, where I worked as a professor teaching developmental math subjects. This year, I have transitioned to teaching only online, and that has greatly freed up my time to pursue many of my passions, including one-on-one tutoring.

I break down hard problems and connect them with real world situations to make learning the most abstract things feel natural and like home. I have had many success stories and am told quite often that I tutor better than the teachers or professors assigned to the class.
Typically a learning session with me involves two halves, and I recommend 2 hours if possible. During the first hour, we will tackle any pressing assignments, to help the student n" less...
