"Hello! My name is Taylor and I just graduated with my Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Utah State University. I decided to pursue my doctorate after graduating with a Bachelor's in Biochemistry due to my love for organic chemistry research. I'm the product of truly caring professors who chose to pursue careers in academia to exclusively teach, instead of focusing mainly on research. What that provided for me were professors who had a full-time focus on teaching, tutoring, and mentoring. This gave me a unique perspective on teaching and tutoring since I've been exposed to professionals who refined and honed their methods over many years of lecturing. With that, I've also seen how different methods of teaching work for various types of students, so I will be effective in tutoring regardless of the student's learning style. One last thing, I know exactly how it feels to not understand when first learning Chemistry; I have been in your shoes!

I have experience tutoring at the high school/college/graduate level (Yes, even graduate students need help sometimes! I myself seek the help of students in other disciplines of Chemistry if I don't initially understand a concept.) and experience teaching at the college level. I've taught General Chemistry and specialize in Organic Chemistry for my research, so I can tutor in both areas. I have a large personal library of textbooks I can pull questions from for extra practice.
