I have held a substitute credential in the past. I have also had over 10 years of experience working at various schools as a para-educator. I have an excellent understanding of modern classroom techniques, and also have a great understanding of what your teachers are generally expecting from you.

I try to keep my lessons fun and lite, as when we are in a better mood, it is easier to digest information, and retain it. I never want my students to feel that they can't do it, and will work to elevate them, no matter how much help they need, or what questions they have!

During my time at Cal State Long Beach, I was a History major. In this field, we are required to do a tremendous amount of reading, and writing, which enabled me to really hone in on my writing skills. Each class we would generally write 4-5 10 page+ research papers. I was able to develop a writing strategy that works easily for others. I have had very good success helping others become stronger writers, and am happy to work with you to increase your skills as well.

I worked as an Instructional aid for over 10 years with multiple school districts. I have worked with Mild, Moderate, and Severe Special needs students 1-on-1, Online, and in a classroom setting, from grades 4 - 12. During this time I would help the students learn their information, while being supportive to their unique needs, and keeping the learning sessions fun and lite.

Not only do I have a B.A. in History, but I also worked as a para-educator for over 10 years. During this time, I was able to continue learning about historic topics in common core classrooms, staying on top of current knowledge, as well as gaining a broader understanding of how history is taught in contemporary classrooms.
