I am patient, flexible, fun, and encouraging.

I serve as a tutor in the following subjects: writing, reading, English, Adobe Photoshop, math, elementary, grammar, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word, proofreading, sewing, spelling, study skills, and vocabulary.

As my title subject says: It’s fun, educational, and easy. I believe for some people to learn something, you should make it easy, which means going slowly and using whatever helps them to their advantage. For example, if the student were a visual learner, I would demonstrate what I’m teaching with pictures or something similar. That can be fun, especially if students understand it; they’ll feel they’ve learned something. If the students don’t know if they’re a visual, auditory, or kinetic learner, it’s for both student and tutor to discover what works, then work from there.

I’ve written all forms of writing, poetry, interview questions for articles, essays, research papers, and a thesis.

I’ve been an assistant organizer of a writer’s group and a secretary of another. Those include being a leader and giving advice to fellow writers, almost as if they’re students. Even though we’re all learning about how to be better writers, being secretary and assistant I get a behind the scenes look, which makes me like the leader or the teacher.
