"Love of learning is my forte! After 15 years as an elementary school teacher, I still am passionate about guiding students through the learning process with a mindset of growth, humor, and resiliency. The most rewarding part of teaching is to witness a student's confidence as they reach a goal.

For the past five years, my family has moved 6 times due to my husband's job. During this time, I pursued teaching reading as a volunteer tutor. I volunteered as a reading tutor for disadvantaged children in Los Angeles Public Schools working one on one to support children behind in reading. Also, I branched out and became an adult literacy tutor through the Venice Public Library in Los Angeles and the Boulder Library in CO.

Learning is lifelong and a process. While moving throughout the country, I trained with my Australian Shepherd, Voodoo, for a therapy animal team with Pet Partners, began my own greeting card business and became a certified personal trainer! However, the most challenging learning experience was living in our van for eight months traveling through across the country. Learning never stops!
