I am keenly aware of making sure that my teaching style matches the learning style of my students. Perhaps more important than anything else, I am a lifelong learner and my passion for the act of learning itself is contagious. After having been a student myself for the better part of three decades, I am overjoyed to pass on my passion for learning to others.

I have many years of experience tutoring, teaching, guiding, and supporting young people in their own growth, development, education, and self-reflection. A good educator must find the balance between numerous seemingly opposing forces. One must teach with reason and logic, while also teaching with passion and emotion. The content must be factual and substantive, and it must be delivered in a way that is engaging and entertaining. While all students should be treated fairly and equitably, each student should receive individualized, personalized, and differentiated instruction. Through various personal, educational, and vocational experiences, I have come to realize that teaching requires quite a delicate, intricate blend of creativity, kindness, dedication, passion, and magic to seamlessly support students on their quest for new knowledge and skills. Finding the balance among all these elements - including these pairs of assumed opposites - requires education, knowledge, intuition, and practice.
