I graduated from Fort Hays State University with my Bachelors in Business Education with a concentration in Talent Development and certificates in Marketing, Social Media Marketing & Leadership Studies. I did all of my education online so I am super familiar with the flexibility of online learning. Since I have a background in education, while obtaining my degree, I filtered what I was learning through that lens. I have minimal experience in tutoring but have had many jobs working with children; including substitute teaching and as an educational instructor at a STEM learning center. Working at the learning center has been one of my favorite experiences! I was given the flexibility to develop lesson plans for each of my classes with a focus on relating content to real-life experiences. Each class was small too so it gave me a great opportunity to focus on my student's individual educational needs per subject. Since we offer a variety of subjects and age ranges, I was given the opportunity to work with students between 1st thru 12th grade but with a large focus on elementary students. I taught ELA, Math, and Science (Life/Biology, Earth, Chemistry, Forensics, Astronomy, etc) along with some specialized classes like Flight, Stop Motion, coding & robotics, and Engineering.

I get excited when I am able to support my students and their learning. I love watching that "a-ha" moment take place when everything clicks.
