"I have been passionate about the artistry that goes into both film and video games from a very young age. I would spend most of my time drawing and making characters either in my sketchbook or on my computer, but never thought I could make a career out of my artistic interests. In my last year of High School, I realized the direction I wanted to take. I began studying at the University of Central Florida and took many classes, like life drawing, towards my Emerging Media: Character Animation major. Once accepted into my specialization, I began studying everything that went into creating animated films, and decided I wanted to become an Animator. I was then offered a scholarship to UCF's graduate program for video games: FIEA. I took the opportunity and realized I loved animating for games much more than film.
Once I graduated, I made my way into trying to break into the gaming industry. I began by working on short films and a short episodic YouTube miniseries through a local studio in Orlando, then worked my way up to working as a contractor on EA's PGA Tour. Once my contract ended, I was hired by Hi-Rez Studios, now Hi-Rez Ventures, to work on Paladins: Champions of the Realm on characters like Lilith, Kasumi, Caspian, Yagorath, and more. After a year working on this free to play first person shooter, I was then moved to work on SMITE, a third person moba. I worked on many gods for the game including Charon, Maman Brigitte, Bake Kujira, Nut, and several high tier skins that required animation reworks. I also had the opportunity to work on SMITE 2, helping to transfer gods from SMITE into the sequel and animate new gods like Aladdin, as well as touching up gods like Cupid.
I have experience with both motion capture cleanup and handkey animation, however most of my knowledge is in handkey. I have animated in MotionBuilder, Autodesk Maya, and 3ds Max. I also have much experience editing reels together to make them appealing for job applications in programs like Adobe Premiere CC and DaVinci Resolve." less...
