"After studying at Drexel University and securing a B.S. in Information Technology with a Minor in English Literature, I studied for a Master's in Digital Media at Drexel University. As an undergraduate I was given the honor of acting as the commencement speaker for my school. As an MS graduate, I earned the Outstanding Master's award for my research and community contributions.
Drexel's professors and leadership supported my growth as a professional by hiring me on as an Adjunct Professor of Digital Media where I taught game design, project management, and 3D animation. I also served as a committee member to several graduate students. I've recently entered the games industry as a designer, embarking on a year-long game engineer position with Disney. I'm most rewarded when I provide mentorship to those who want to learn. I look forward to working with you!
I use C# in the Unity3D game engine, and have produced several projects with it which have been used (1) for internal prototyping at Disney Consumer Products and (2) for public display at Drexel University and the Game Developer Conference. In my time at Drexel, I was also responsible for learning disciplines in web design to professionally display my content.
As an update to my C# credentials: in 2016 I worked at The VR Company as an interaction engineer on the mobile VR experience "Raising a Rukus" and in 2018 the VR adventure "Jurassic World: VR Expedition" at Dave & Buster's locations nationwide. I invite you to check them out!
I'm in this for you guys, I really think that videogames are going to take steps toward becoming a culturally significant, expressive medium. This medium is one that everyone should have some level of fluency in to understand their strengths, weaknesses, and potential effects on society. If requested, I will go beyond technical teachings (the "how" we make games) and push you to really think about "why" we make games using interesting literature and modern game examples." less...
