"I have taught Special Education within the Muscogee County School District for over 10 years. I have taught adult education and basic skills as part of Chattahoochee Valley Community College’s Adult Education Program for over four years. As an instructor I have served a vast range of learners in the Columbus, Phenix City, Ladonia, and Crawford regions. I have also provided instructional support to learners stateside, as well as third world countries; most recently providing school supplies to elementary and middle school students in rural St. Andrews, Jamaica. I am the author of “The Speducators Inside Guide to Effective Co-teaching” (2013), as well as a participant in several action-based and single-subject research projects aimed at addressing and improving academic achievement for all learners.

In addition to serving the needs of exceptional children and adult learners, I engages organize professional development workshops and orientations. My academic background includes Hunter College of the City University (Bachelor of Liberal Arts), Columbus State University (Master of Education), and West Georgia University (Specialist of Special Education).

Currently serve as District Liason and Department Chair at current middle school, as well as a member of the National Association of Special Education Teachers (NASET), and the Alabama Association for Public and Continuing Adult Education (ALAPCAE).

Certified in Math Elementary through Middle Grades. Has successfully taught MAth GED preparation of for over four years. Very familiar with both K-12 and GED testing standards.
