"Hi! I’m Drew. I am a current General Surgery Resident Physician. I graduated from the University of Central Florida for Medical School and matched into my first choice Residency Program! I graduated from the University of Maryland in Bioengineering (and I am still a secret engineer at heart).
I have tutored medical students since my second year of medical school and bring a deep understanding of medical school concepts. I was a Peer Academic Coach, a tutoring position awarded receiving all A grades throughout medical school. Now as a resident I teach medical students daily. I have medical students rotate with me for their clinical rotations and have the honor of teaching them in the wards and in the operating room. I also routinely teach lectures on topics covered on their SHELF exams or related to our patients.
My approach to tutoring focuses on simplifying complex information into easily understandable concepts. My goal is NOT to just help you memorize a test answer, rather it IS to help you understand a topic which is essential for effective test-taking techniques and to achieve your academic goal. Additionally, I will help you develop study habits and schedules to support your learning journey.
I am also an accomplished in clinical researcher with >15 published articles and have performed statistical analysis for >50 projects. I have extensive experience in statistical analysis from being the statistician for a Surgery Department. I currently mentor medical students to help them create their own research projects, perform statistical analysis, and successfully publication their projects.
I am available to tutor in all medical school classes (Surgery, Internal Medicine, GI, Cardio/Pulm, Neurology, Psychiatry, etc.) and SHELF exams. As well as pre-med classes (Anatomy/Physiology), PA, Nursing, and DPT programs. I also tutor research projects, data analysis, and statistics.
I want to help you be successful in your academic career. Please reach out and we can get to work to achieve your goals!" less...
