"I'm Dave! I've been interested in Geography and American History forever and pursued a B.A. in Geography at the University of Connecticut with a concentration in wetlands ecology. I spent the first five years of my career as an Environmental Planner at a top civil engineering firm after graduation and worked on federal, state and city transportation projects in Southern New England.

I spent the next twenty years pursuing a business career in technology-related companies that included Google and Mastercard. My personal passions include travel (to date: 18 countries, 3 continents) photography and learning. My wife and I homeschool our 11 and 9 year old children which has been a wonderful re-introduction to learning! I also have spent time this year volunteering for a local refugee assistance agency as an English as a Second Language tutor for temporarily-resettled Ukrainian war refugees. I've also been taking Ukrainian classes for a year and four months and am getting there with it! I am a voracious reader and have kept up with Geography and history ever since college. My business experience as afforded opportunities to sharpen communication around complex topics. It also enabled my international travel experiences. I look forward to working to help deepen your understanding of Geography or American History!
