"Greetings everyone! I'm Amy, a second-year graduate student at Georgetown University, passionately pursuing my PhD in Chemistry. Back in May 2022, I graduated from Stony Brook University with a Chemistry major and double minors in Writing and Health & Wellness.

My forte lies in teaching chemistry, particularly at high school and college levels. Notably, I've earned ACS certification for my prowess in advanced chemistry coursework and garnered departmental honors. I've served as a TA in both general and organic chemistry, earning recognition as an engaging instructor with the Teaching Assistant Award from Georgetown's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences for the 2022-2023 academic year. Through teaching, I've honed my creativity and ability to connect with students on an individual level, fostering their unique relationship with chemistry.

Beyond chemistry, I'm equipped to enhance students' written and verbal communication skills. With a minor in Writing & Rhetoric, I've fine-tuned my abilities to proofread various documents, from cover letters to lab reports. My solid foundation in writing has seamlessly translated into effective verbal communication, bolstering my confidence in public speaking.

As both a PhD student and during my undergraduate tenure, I've dedicated myself to mentoring underclassmen and high school students. Guiding them in crafting compelling applications for competitive colleges, graduate programs, and professional opportunities has been a rewarding aspect of my journey.
