"I am an experienced German teacher and tutor with an MA in Germanic Linguistics from the University of California, Berkeley (2008). Before I came to Cal, I spent 2 years in Freiburg, Germany, where I studied German and Scandinavian Linguistics and Literature at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universitat. I have instructed both children and adults; in addition to having taught more than 12 elementary and intermediate/advanced German courses at Cal, I am currently employed as a part-time German instructor at the German School of Fremont in Fremont, CA, where I teach a group of children aged 9-12. I've also taught and tutored English grammar and composition -- both in a classroom setting and one-on-one -- to native and non-native speakers alike, and have extensive proofreading and translating experience.

I can offer assistance not only with languages, but also with music. Both of my parents are musicians and musicologists, so I have been surrounded by music all my life. I have been playing the piano (more or less actively) for 27 years.
