"I love the sciences and the arts and find math to be fundamental for both. I double majored in Biochemistry and Zoology at the University of Florida. There I also did my undergraduate research in Organic Chemistry. I then went to the University of Iowa as a PhD student in Genetics and graduated with my Master's. While in grad school my focus of research was developmental genetics. Specifically, I studied enhancer elements in zebrafish.
During my undergraduate years, I also tutored math at St. Petersburg College. At this time I mostly tutored to young adults and older people returning to school after a long time. I feel that I am very could at communicating relating the material to people by taking complex ideas and explaining them in relatable terms.
I have tutored math at the college level for several years. Mostly, students needed help with algebraic concepts.
I have studied biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry and Genetics for many years and I have also worked in each of these disciplines at a research level. I have even published in peer reviewed journals on such subjects.
My hours and mode of tutoring is very flexible depending on your needs. We all learn differently. Let me know how to make it easier for you." less...
