"I have a Bachelor's in biology from ORU, and I am currently a grad student studying biology at SHSU. During my undergraduate, I tutored and was a TA for undergraduate biology classes for 3 semesters. Currently, I am teaching undergraduate biology labs; the labs I have taught include contemporary biology, introductory genetics, and general biology.

While I tutored, I would set up tutoring times for students to come in and study as a group. But as midterms or finals approached, students would often ask for 1 on 1 tutoring sessions. While tutoring, I will suggest alternative ways to study such as flashcards, making a quizlet, or I could help them through the steps. Since some people are visual, I will find diagrams, videos, or models to help them understand the concept.

While I teach labs, I will use multiple methods to help students. I will often turn on videos, write on the whiteboard, and ask students questions to help guide them to the answers logically." less...
