"I am a recent college graduate living in the Pittsburgh area. I attended a small liberal arts college, and my subjects reflect that fact. While in college, I tutored other students in reading and writing, and I found it to be one of the most rewarding jobs of my life. Informally, I tutor several older adults hoping to go to college for the first time.

I strongly believe in learning for learning's sake. Learning is not just about passing tests and getting into college. Rather, learning is a journey that changes you for the better. To that end, my style is a Socratic "guiding" style that elicits reaction and questioning from the student. I do not stress tedious drills and rote memorization. I strive to put all knowledge into context so it may become a tool at the ready disposal of the student for the rest of their lives.
