Having gone through the rigorous college and medical school application processes myself, I have mentored many students through the same essays, exams and applications.

I personally scored 1600 on the SAT and used my experience to tutor many students on tests like the SAT and more. I make sure to have structured schedules for all my students so that they know what exactly to study in order to maximize their time before their upcoming test date. With plenty of practice materials and test-taking strategies, my students got at least a 200+ score boost on the SAT.

I also work with students to improve their medical school Step 1/2 scores. My students have passed Step 1/2 and seen increases in their practice NBME scores as well as improvement in their school grades and test taking abilities. In my classes, I focus on identifying each student's strengths and weaknesses to tailor classes that fit their needs. I am a big proponent of targeted practice (learning and practicing difficult topics until mastery is gained) as it produces the best results with my students. I always create a study plan, review missed practice questions, and monitor student performances with mock exams.
