"I have been teaching guitar for almost as long as I've been playing (which is 16 years). As I was developing and learning I would always have to show my other friends who played what I just learned. Teaching what I have learned always felt natural but I realized with time that teaching others is one of the best ways to fully understand and absorb what you know. I truly love watching my students grow as musicians and also love the way that you can learn off of each other in a student teacher relationship with music.
I have been playing for almost two decades and attended the Atlanta Institute of Music for a year to receive a certificate in guitar. I can teach students to read music with a more classical approach and can also teach how to ”play from the gut” in more of a blues and rock fashion which is personally how I enjoy to play guitar.
I am always interested in teaching new students from all age and skill levels. We can always talk before we start lessons to see if I'm the right fit for your goals." less...
