"Greetings! I offer lessons for guitar & ukulele, as well as songwriting coaching.

I've playing guitar since I was 13 years old, and writing songs since I was about 16. I'm a singer-songwriter and have released two self-produced albums of original music: "Invisible Warmth" in 2019, and "By a Thread" in 2022. I signed a sync-licensing deal with indie-label Winding Way Records in 2020, and an album-licensing deal with Sky Valley Records in 2022. I completed my B.A. in Universal Music in 2016 at New Mexico Highlands University, where I studied composition, performance, and theory. I have experience playing and writing in a wide variety of styles.

I've been teaching music since 2018, and have given private lessons full-time at a couple lesson studios where I live. I have experience teaching all ages, with my students have ranged from 4 years old to folks in their seventies and eighties. I find joy and fulfillment in giving highly individualized lessons, designed around each student's unique talents and interests. I also like leaving lots of room for creative exploration, if desired. I enjoy getting to know what kinds of music students love, and then finding ways to incorporate those songs and genres into skills we're developing. An approach I often use is to create arrangements of students' favorite songs, that are tailored to specific skills we're working on. I'm open to whatever styles students would like to explore, and like letting students be the co-pilot for what direction lessons take as their interests, goals, and skills evolve.
